Smart locks are crucial to making bike sharing as easy as possible for you and your target groups. They not only serve to secure the bikes, but their intelligent functions make them an important component in the entire booking process. With 12DRIVE bicycle sharing you can choose between smart locks, which can be easily opened and closed using the app, and tracking locks with GPS, which we provide together with our partner company I LOCK IT. All locks are completely keyless!

Locks without GPS

With these simple locks, your employees, customers and guests can open or lock booked bikes anytime and anywhere using their smartphone and the 12DRIVE app. In addition, the locks have an integrated 110 dB alarm, which deters attempted theft and thieves. The locks are compatible with most bikes and are firmly installed by our service team, so you don't have to worry about anything.

These locks are the best choice if you not only want to protect your bike sharing bikes, but also want to learn more about your target group. Permanent tracking allows you to track the paths of your bike users. This helps cities and municipalities, for example, to identify which routes are used particularly frequently and where cycle paths should be further expanded.

However, it is important that you talk to your data protection officer before making a decision. In some organizations, permanent tracking is not desired due to data protection regulations. In any case, you must obtain the consent of bike users. We are happy to assist you with a coordinated contract for order data processing in accordance with the GDPR and a privacy policy.

Due to increased energy consumption, the locks with permanent GPS tracking can only be used on bikes with an external power supply, e.g. on electric bikes or bikes with additional photovoltaic modules.

Would you like to start your bike sharing project as worry-free as possible? Then use our I LOCK IT with GPS theft tracking. These smart locks can also be easily opened and closed using the 12DRIVE smartphone app and are attached to the wheels of your fleet by us. They also have an integrated 110 dB alarm that sounds loudly if someone tampers with the lock.

This smart lock also offers a great extra function: it automatically detects suspicious movement while the lock is closed. Our software evaluates whether this motion alarm is an indicator of theft in each case. The location of the bike can also be tracked if necessary.
